I was wondering exactly what do you have to do in order to vaporize something, I mean do you have to grind it into very small peices or will like chunks work. and also once you plug it in how long does it take to reach to temperature that you need to vaporize something. also how do you know that you have gotten every thing out of what you are vaporizing.
You should have a look at our why vaporize section - has some good graphs and things -but - in a nutshell, it releases the thc in your herb without using any flame - therefore little or no carcinogens are involved - hence a safer smoke!
You should grind up your herb into a powder - it takes about 7 mins to reach optimal temperature. When the vapors stop coming out of the herb - and you can see this in the globe of the unit - esp if you hold it under a halogen spot lite - then there is nothing left to enjoy from that bowlful.

How anonymous is your shipping and handling?
We ship in a small brown cardboard box with no descriptive labelling. We attach a plain "bill of lading" that has the addressee (you) and the sender. It also has a small rectangle with a description of contents that states: aromatherapy burner. We have had no issues arise whatsoever - and don't expect any in the future.

Does the vaporizer work with 220 volt systems (like in the UK, Australia or New Zealand?)
We currently ship vaporizers configured for 220 volt systems, 110 volt systems and 12 volt (car battery) systems (take it on the road!). Thus, you DO NOT need to purchase a "step-down" converter. Simply order the appropriate model for your area. NOTE: North America uses the 110 volt system.

Does the vaporizer produce vapor or smoke?
The vaporizer emits vapor initially - the moisture within your combustible - this often tastes leafy. After 30-45 secs., it becomes smoke which is not too bad, but not nearly as safe as the initial vapor that the vaporizer produces.

Unfortuntately, here in Nashville, TN the quality of combustibles is notoriously low. In addition to the no smoke factor of the vapourizer, I was also hoping there to be a side benefit of extracting more of the active chemicals from the materials from the steam than the smoking method. This would make lower quality combustibles work more efficiently and maybe even last longer. Would you say this to be true?. Again thanks for taking the time to answer my tedious questions.

Here's how to enjoy it.

-> remove the unit's glass jar lid.*
-> plug in unit for 20 minutes to burn off all the oils and lubricants used in the manufacturing process.

Your Vaporizer is now ready to use!

*(Never leave glass jar lid on while unit heats up. Attach ONLY when herb is in bowl ready for vaporizing.)

Using your personal RxDirect2U Vaporizer

step 1
• remove the unit's glass jar lid. (see reason above)

step 2
• plug in unit

step 3
• place herb in heated bowl
(wait approximately 7 minutes until element/bowl is hot before placing your herb in the bowl)

step 4
• put on the unit's glass jar lid

step 5
• inhale the vapor
(When the vapor stops coming out of the herb, that bowlful is finished.)

step 6
• unplug your vaporizer and let it cool down**

step 6
• remove the unit's glass jar lid once cooled

step 7
• empty out contents and see step 2

**(In order to insure a long and happy life for your vaporizer, DO NOT leave your vaporizer on for long periods of time - use the vaporizer for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time, then, turn it off and let it cool.)
